Job summary

Lancashire Adult Learning is part of Nelson and Colne College Group and is looking for a Community Teacher - Functional Skills (English/ESOL) to join their team. The role will focus on delivering Functional Skills English and ESOL in community settings across Lancashire, with travel required.

Ideal candidates will have experience in delivering both Functional Skills English and ESOL, or Functional Skills English with second language learners, and will contribute to the college ethos of helping

Qualifications

Degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification.
Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve within 3 years).
A higher degree or advanced qualification.
Successful teaching experience in a relevant subject area.

Responsibilities

Teach on a range of programmes delivering effective learning (English).
Plan and prepare high quality teaching and learning.
Develop and share resources with the team.
Prepare learners for accreditation, where appropriate.
Complete reviews of learner progress towards achievement of individual learning goals.
Ensure provision is aligned with best practice in community learning.
