Job summary

Connect2Surrey in Weybridge, England is seeking an experienced Assessment Social Worker to join our safeguarding team. You will undertake complex assessments of children and families, manage risk, and deliver timely, strength-based interventions to promote safe, lasting change for children within their families.

The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week in the Weybridge office, and offers supportive supervision, ongoing training in Motivational Interviewing and relationship-based practice, and

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration.
• Experience with UK statutory social work with children and families.
• Ability to undertake complex assessments and develop intervention plans.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive, strengths-based assessments of children, young people and families.
• Analyse information to identify needs, risks and protective factors; develop SMART care plans.
• Complete Child and Family Assessments per statutory guidance and timescales.
• Conduct safeguarding enquiries and child protection investigations as required.
• Build effective relationships with children, families and partner agencies; contribute to multi-agency planning.
