Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking tutors to work 1:1 with young people who cannot attend school. Roles focus on Maths and English with flexible hours across Sheffield and surrounding areas. Sessions are tailored to each student, typically 1–2 hours, in the student’s home, a local library, online or in a school setting.

You will be matched based on strengths and availability, often staying with the same student to provide consistency and progress. A DBS check is required or supported if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring children or young people, in a classroom or 1:1.
• Confidence planning Maths and/or English sessions in line with the national curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver sessions tailored to each student, usually 1–2 hours long.
• Match you with students based on strengths, subjects and availability and maintain consistency.
• Support students to rebuild confidence and engage with learning in Maths and English.
