Job summary

Viridor Energy Ltd invites applications for a Sustainable Building Services Year in Industry Placement at Tee Side Valley. This 12‑month placement runs 37.5 hours per week and focuses on BRREAM assessments and sustainable building practices during a busy construction phase.

You'll work with the building services and sustainability teams, cooperate with architects, engineers and clients, gather data, manage documentation and help achieve targeted BREEAM ratings.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Administrative experience (Microsoft 365).
• Must be over 18 years of age due to construction site.
• Exposure to Building Services is desirable.
• Strong interest in sustainability within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Support BREEAM assessments by collecting and managing project evidence.
• Monitor project compliance against BREEAM requirements and sustainability targets.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, clients and internal teams to gather required information.
• Maintain accurate records, trackers and document control systems.
• Assist with sustainability reporting and preparation of BREEAM submissions.
• Review project information with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings and follow up on actions and information requests.
• Provide administrative support to the sustainability and building services teams.
• Research sustainability best practices and emerging industry standards.
• Prepare and contribute to BREEAM assessments, sustainability records and report documentation by collecting, analysing and presenting accurate data.
• Wider project team support on an ad hoc basis, including ERSV delivery support.
