Job summary

GSMA London is seeking a researcher and technical generalist for the Emerging Tech team to develop analytical work on AI and emerging technologies for development, identifying gaps, risks and opportunities for responsible AI innovations in LMICs.

You will conduct global research, define project scopes, and produce policy reports, blogs and case studies for public dissemination, collaborating with internal teams to ensure coherent messaging and impact.

Qualifications

Solid foundation in artificial intelligence and machine learning applied to development.
Ability to translate complex issues into clear written outputs.

Responsibilities

Conduct global-level research identifying best practices and opportunities for AI-driven development in LMICs.
Define scope and methodology for research projects aligned with funders and GSMA objectives.
Produce policy reports, research briefs, blogs and case studies for public dissemination.
Monitor trends in emerging technologies to identify high-impact opportunities for scaling in LMICs.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure coherence across research agendas and dissemination strategies.
Assess architectures of AI-enabled solutions to identify gaps and opportunities for responsible innovation.
