Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive, engaging, and organized Impact Facilitator to work with leading scientists across the School of Biological Sciences. The role involves helping them understand, value, and deliver research impacts beyond academia.

As part of the University's Impact and Knowledge Exchange Team and working closely with the Research Strategy Team in the School of Biological Sciences, you will identify, articulate, and support opportunities for impact in areas such as entrepreneurship, technology transfer, commercialization, policy impacts, and third sector engagement.

The ideal candidate will have experience and understanding of research impact mechanisms and will work to develop a strong impact culture within the School. You should be comfortable with biological sciences research and possess exceptional interpersonal skills to build productive relationships with colleagues across the University and beyond.

The School has six new interdisciplinary Research Themes aimed at fostering research integration and innovation. You will collaborate with Theme Leads and Members to understand their research needs and identify new impact opportunities.

You will also oversee the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences (BBSRC) Impact Acceleration Account and support the development of impact projects, impact planning for funding applications, and strategic partnerships with external organizations.
