Job summary

University of Oxford’s Oxford Centre for Immuno-Oncology is recruiting a Research Assistant to support immuno-oncology research, including preclinical mouse models and patient-derived samples. The role involves lab-based experiments, data analysis, and contributing to experimental design within the Nuffield Department of Medicine.

The successful candidate will have a biology degree, practical lab experience, and the ability to obtain a Personal Licence to work in a Biological Services Unit.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant biological science subject.
• Experience working in a biological research laboratory.
• Practical experience of cell culture and flow cytometry.
• Ability to obtain a Personal Licence and work within a Biological Services Unit.
• Experience in immunology or cancer biology and multicolor flow cytometry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell culture, flow cytometry, molecular biology and sample processing.
• Carry out in vivo experiments using mouse models and optimize protocols.
• Collect, analyse data and contribute to experimental design and planning.
• Train researchers and students; maintain equipment, manage stocks, and place orders.
