Job description

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Immunisations Care Coordinator to join our dynamic Immunisations Team. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours.Thispost is responsible for supporting the Business Support andImmunisations Manager to deliver immunisations includingflu, childhood imms and any potential Covid booster vaccination.

Theday to day responsibility of the role will be the ongoing operationalarrangements for immunisations, including call and recall of childhood and babyimmunisations. An important part of thisrole is the operational support during the flu season and it would be expectedthat the post holder would be fully involved during this time as the teamleader on the ground, supported remotely by their manager.

Duringthe remainder of the year the role would be to increase the immunisation ratesfor other immunisation services including, but not limited to Childhood Imms,pneumovax, shingles, RSV and MMR.

Main duties of the job
  • Respectfully communicate with staff across theorganisation to ensure that staff are available to deliver the services.
  • Provide updates to staff and Business Supportand Immunisations Manager on progress with the programmes
  • Build and maintain good relationships withclinical staff involved in delivering the relevant service to maintaineffective clinical engagement at all times.
  • Liaise with the lead nurse and nursing teamfor clinical advice
  • Assist theBusiness Support and Immunisations Manager in the development of the overall plansto be put in place in order to achieve all key performance indicators (KPIs)within any locally enhanced services
  • Effectivelyplan the clinics needed to deliver flu vaccines.
  • Work withteam members to ensure the successful delivery of the flu campaign each year,agreeing organisation targets for immunisation alongside population coveragetargets which would include vaccinations given in any setting.
