Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead our immunisation and vaccination programmes. The role focuses on staff and patient flu vaccinations and COVID-19 vaccinations, with potential to extend to align with national priorities.

The post holder will be the Trust subject matter expert on vaccination delivery, responsible for the seasonal vaccination service, and will support relevant portfolio workstreams as directed by the line manager.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse on the NMC register.
• Trained in accordance with Immunisation National Standards.
• Mentorship Preparation/ENB 998 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of seasonal vaccination programmes across the Trust.
• Oversee delivery plans for staff and patient vaccination campaigns.
• Identify staffing needs and ensure evidenced-based training for vaccinators.
• Develop policies, SOPs and guidance for vaccination services.
