Job summary

LJ Recruitment has two Immigration Solicitor vacancies in Central London & East London. Consultancy and fee-sharing options are available, subject to discussion.

This is an excellent opportunity for solicitors with experience across personal and general immigration matters to develop their careers within a supportive and forward-thinking firm. Two roles offer varied caseloads, direct client contact and progression potential within a growing London practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years PQE in Immigration law.
• Experience across personal and general immigration matters.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent drafting, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a varied caseload from instruction through to completion.
• Advise on personal immigration matters, including visas, ILR and citizenship.
• Handle sponsor licence applications and wider business immigration.
• Draft applications, legal documents and representations.
• Liaise with Home Office, Counsel and relevant third parties.
• Maintain excellent client care and strong professional relationships.
• Ensure compliance with SRA and firm regulatory requirements.
• Central London: Manage a team of paralegals and support lead conversion.
• East London: Work towards targets with supervision and support.

Immigration Solicitor | Central London & East London

A well-established and expanding London-based law firm is seeking two ambitious Immigration Solicitors to join its growing teams, with opportunities available in both Central and East London.

Consultancy and fee-sharing options are available, subject to discussion. This is an excellent opportunity for solicitors with experience across personal and general immigration matters to develop their careers within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a varied caseload from instruction through to completion.
• Advise on personal immigration matters, including spouse/partner and family visas, ILR, British citizenship and naturalisation, student and visitor visas, appeals and administrative reviews.
• Handle general immigration matters, including Skilled Worker applications, sponsor licence applications and compliance, and wider business immigration.
• Draft applications, legal documents and representations.
• Liaise with the Home Office, Counsel and relevant third parties.
• Maintain excellent client care and strong professional relationships.
• Ensure compliance with SRA and firm regulatory requirements.
• Central London: Manage a team of 4-5 paralegals and support lead conversion.
• East London: Work towards agreed targets with appropriate supervision and support.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, ideally with 2+ years' PQE in Immigration law; less experienced candidates may be considered.
• Strong experience across personal and general immigration matters.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent drafting, communication and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Professional, client-focused and commercially aware approach.
