Job summary

Cardiff Metropolitan University is seeking a proactive Immigration Compliance Support Officer to join the Global Student Advisory Service. You will help protect the University’s Student Sponsor Licence by advising on visa requirements, maintaining CAS issuance, and keeping student immigration files up to date.

You will collect required documents, ensure records comply with UKVI rules, and act as the first point of contact for international students.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Experience in an administrative role.
• Ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Ability to work with diverse student backgrounds.
• Discretion and empathy in handling sensitive cases.

Responsibilities

• Assess documents to meet Student Visa regulations before issuing CAS.
• Collect essential documents and maintain international student records.
• Resolve immigration compliance issues with initiative.
• Act as first point of contact for immigration enquiries from international students.
• Provide accurate advice on UKVI regulations and immigration status.
