A diplomatic mission in London is seeking an Immigration Assistant to support the First Secretary with public visa services. This role involves manning the immigration desk, processing applications, and providing guidance to clients. Applicants must have five GCSEs including English and relevant qualifications. It is essential that candidates are eligible to work in the UK and provide two references.
The job holder,a member of the locally engaged staff(non diplomatic) assists the First Secretary (Immigration) in providing quality and timely service to the general public for the processing of visa's, travel documents and other related documents.
The Immigration Assistant is tasked to perform following duties and other duties as assigned:
-Manning the immigration desk
-Explaining the procedures and requirements of applications to clients
-To receive applications for visas, passports, travel documents and
related documents from applicants
-To receive application fees and promptly process applications
-Record keeping of applications and other related documents and any other duties which may be assigned by the First Secretary Immigration.
*Should have a minimum of five GCSE's including English Language at grade 4 (C) or above, an advanced certificate or diploma in a business related field is an added advantage.**
