Job summary

REESON Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant for a coeducational secondary school and sixth form in south west London. The post is full-time, long-term with scope to go permanent, and offers an immediate start.

Hours are 8am to 4pm. The role supports SEN and LAP students, works with teachers to identify learning needs, and helps with behaviour management in line with academy policy. UK-based or overseas candidates with right to work and DBS are welcome.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS.
• UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent.
• Experience of working with children/teenagers or in UK schools.

Responsibilities

• Supporting SEN and LAP students in group or whole class intervention sessions.
• Working with teachers to identify each student's learning needs.
• Attending to students' social, emotional and personal needs when required.
• Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy.
• Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed.
