Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves is assisting a North West London secondary school in recruiting a Pastoral Behaviour Support Officer for an immediate start. The role focuses on managing the Relocation Room, supporting students with behavioural concerns, and maintaining a calm, productive environment to keep learners settled and on task.

The ideal candidate holds a degree (2:1+) and has strong communication and boundary-setting skills.

Qualifications

• A degree, preferably at 2:1 or above, is required.
• Experience working with young people through education, mentoring, tutoring, sports or similar settings would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organise the Relocation Room.
• Supervise students who have been removed from lessons.
• Maintain a calm, structured and focused environment.
• Use strong behaviour management to maintain clear expectations.
• Support students to regulate their behaviour and remain on task.
• Ensure students complete classwork and learning activities.
• Support the Pastoral Leader with behaviour and pastoral interventions.
• Hold restorative conversations with students.
• Monitor behaviour, engagement and student progress.
• Complete relevant administrative tasks and records.
• Communicate with teachers, Heads of Year and senior leaders.
