Job summary

GSL Education are currently seeking a Supply Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Sheffield. You will deliver lessons across KS3 and KS4, following provided schemes and maintaining continuity of learning.

Applicants should have QTS or equivalent, strong classroom management and be able to adapt to different classes quickly. The role is long-term/temporary with a daily rate up to £220, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching within a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classes and teaching environments.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons effectively across KS3 and KS4 in line with provided plans and school expectations.
• Maintain a positive and purposeful classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour consistently and fairly in accordance with school policies.
• Support students to remain engaged and complete their learning.
• Adapt your approach where appropriate to meet different learning needs.
• Monitor pupil understanding and provide relevant feedback to school staff.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and contribute to the wider school environment.
