Job summary

Academics is recruiting a KS2 Supply Teacher to work on a temporary, flexible ongoing supply basis across primary schools in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. You will deliver engaging KS2 lessons across Years 3–6, adapting to each school’s needs while supporting pupil development and safeguarding requirements.

Starting ASAP, the role offers competitive daily rates and opportunities for long-term and permanent roles, with support from experienced education consultants.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• Previous primary or KS2 teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills are essential.
• Positive, flexible and adaptable approach to teaching across KS2.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality KS2 lessons across Year 3–6 as required.
• Adapt teaching to meet diverse learner needs and school contexts.
• Support pupils' academic and personal development.
• Create a positive, engaging classroom environment.
• Maintain effective behaviour management throughout lessons.
