Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking an IMI-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) for a busy Harrogate bodyshop. The role involves inspecting accident-damaged vehicles, producing accurate repair estimates, and liaising with customers and insurers to ensure repairs meet industry standards.

• Proven experience as a VDA/Estimator.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair processes.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Inspect accident-damaged vehicles and assess the extent of damage.
• Produce accurate repair estimates and identify required parts and labour.
• Determine appropriate repair methods in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Liaise with customers, insurers and workshop teams throughout the repair process.
• Monitor repairs and update estimates where additional damage is identified.
• Ensure estimates and repair plans are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Work closely with Panel, MET and Paint Technicians.
• Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records and repair documentation.
• Support the smooth and efficient running of the bodyshop.

About the Role

Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy bodyshop in Harrogate, and they are currently looking for an experienced IMI-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join their growing team.

This role will involve assessing accident-damaged vehicles, identifying the repairs required and producing accurate estimates to ensure vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to the correct industry standards.
