Toyota South Africa Motors in East London, South Africa, is seeking an Industrial IoT Solutions Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of IIoT platforms connecting machines, sensors, and enterprise systems on the factory floor.

You will collaborate with production engineers, data scientists, IT security, and external technology partners to deliver scalable, secure solutions, focusing on edge and cloud integration to enable real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years designing and deploying IIoT solutions in manufacturing or heavy-industry settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; advanced IoT/cybersecurity certifications desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Architect end-to-end IIoT solutions integrating PLCs, sensors, and ERP systems.
• Define data models, protocols, and standards for factory connectivity.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify use cases like predictive maintenance and energy optimization.
• Lead PoCs, evaluate new technologies, and drive scalable implementations.
• Ensure robust OT cybersecurity with device authentication and network segmentation.
• Develop documentation, roadmaps, and training materials for internal stakeholders.
• Monitor performance and drive reliability improvements.
