A secondary school in Bournemouth is looking for experienced Art and Design and ICT teachers for a short-term intensive program from 8th to 12th September 2025. Successful candidates will prepare and deliver lessons, assess student work, and provide feedback. A PGCE or equivalent with QTS in a relevant field is essential. Westbourne Academy is recruiting experienced secondary school
Art and Design and Information Technology (ICT) teachers for a short intensive bespoke course from 8th September to 12th September 2025.
Italian Students will study an intensive IGCSE programme focusing on subjects such as IGCSE Art and Design, IGCSE ICT and IGCSE English. Teaching will only involve 7.5 hours teaching time per subject during the week.The students will also attend a cultural activity programme each day. The classrooms are equipped with modern interactive touch screen smart boards and we will have be able to provide further information on the syllabus and content beforehand.
Duties & Responsibilities
Art & Design Teacher
Students will bring Component 1 of their work (both portfolio and final outcome hypothesis) so constructive feedback, suggestions and support with their work is required.
ICT Teacher
Students will focus on the practical component of the IGCSE ICT exam and do intensive exam practice for part 2 and part 3 of the exam. Marking, feedback and practical support is required.

Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
PGCE or equivalent with QTS in a relevant field
Secondary School trained
Experience in delivering the GCSE Art & Design / ICT Syllabus
Experience in evaluating portfolios and providing constructive feedback on student work
Desirable:
Experience working overseas in an International School setting
Knowledge and Experience delivering the IGCSE curriculum
Experience teaching international students
Positions available: Fixed term contract – 08.09.25 to 12.09.25 exact days
and times to be negotiated.
Contract: Monday–Friday
Contract length: 2.5 days
Pay: £45 + per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Expected hours: 7.5 hours per week
