Wolsey Hall is a virtual organisation, offering home study courses for Key Stage 1, 2 and 3, International GCSE, and A‑Level. Much of our work is with families who are home schooling their children. We have students in over 120 countries, and our business is growing steadily, thanks to many satisfied customers.
We seek inspirational and enthusiastic tutors of IGCSE and A‑Level Business who are keen to work with students across the globe to support them with their homeschooling studies.
This is a self‑employed, part‑time role which predominantly comprises targeted written and recorded assignment feedback in line with our asynchronous model, although there are occasions to meet the students and also engage with them via messaging on our Learning Platform.
Our Tutor team works flexibly from their homes at times that suit them.
We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We place the highest priority on ensuring that only those who are suitable to work with children are recruited to our organisation. We adopt robust safeguarding procedures and safer recruitment practices to deter and prevent unsuitable individuals from working with children.
All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check (with children’s barred list), three references (including current employer), and verification of identity, qualifications and employment history. In line with statutory guidance, an online search, including social media, will be carried out on shortlisted candidates as part of our due diligence to assess suitability for the role.
