Job description

Closing Date: Friday 11thSeptember 2026
Fueled by bold ambition.

The IFS/ERP Functional Analyst will be the connective tissue between our Solutions Architect and Operations teams — the person people come to when IFS ERP needs to work harder for Supply Chain and Manufacturing. This isn't a role where you wait for tickets to land: you'll be out finding the problems worth solving, building relationships across the shop floor and the leadership table, and turning that insight into real system improvements. If you like variety, ownership, and being at the centre of how things actually get built, this is for you.

Be the connector
  • Own the relationship — act as the primary point of contact for Operations on all things IFS ERP, spanning POs, RFQs, Purchase Requisitions, Manufacturing, Inventory, and Shipments
  • Go find the work — proactively engage stakeholders across the organisation to surface and shape new requirements, rather than working solely from a pre-defined backlog
  • Bridge every level — move comfortably between shop-floor users and senior leadership, translating hands‑on operational detail into decisions and priorities at both ends
Keep production moving
  • Support the floor — provide day‑to‑day troubleshooting and user support across Stores and Warehousing, Quality and Control Plans, Shop Orders and Shop Order Operations, Product Structures and Routings (including multi‑level structures), and Condition Codes
  • Spot the pattern — monitor system usage and performance within Operations modules, escalating issues and recommending optimisations before they become blockers
Shape the system
  • Build with the team — work closely with the Solutions Architect and ERP Manager to design and implement solutions, configuration changes, and enhancements
  • Tune the workflow — configure and customise IFS applications to streamline how Operations actually works
  • Prove it works — support testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) of changes before they go live
Share what you know
  • Report on it — generate and distribute operational reports using IFS BI, Power BI, or other reporting tools
  • Teach it — deliver end‑user training and maintain clear documentation to drive system adoption
  • Protect it — support compliance with data governance, security policies, and regulatory requirements across Operations
What do we need from you?
  • IFS know-how — hands‑on experience in ERP support or operations roles, working directly with IFS ERP across Aurena, Cloud, or earlier versions
  • Module depth — expertise in Supply Chain and Manufacturing modules: POs, RFQs, Purchase Requisitions, MES, Shop Floor Workbench, Warehousing, and Stock
  • Production fluency — working knowledge of Stores, Quality, Control Plans, Shop Orders, Shop Order Operations, Product Structures, Routings, multi‑level structures, and Condition Codes
  • Initiative — a self‑starting mindset with the confidence to seek out requirements independently, rather than waiting to be directed
  • Translation skills — experience turning business needs into system requirements, working closely with technical teams
  • Reporting fluency — familiarity with IFS Lobbies, IFS Cloud, and reporting tools such as Power BI or IFS BI
  • Technical curiosity — a basic understanding of SQL queries, APIs, and ERP integrations is a plus
  • Range — comfortable working across both cloud‑based and on‑premises ERP environments
  • People skills — strong communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to prioritise across competing operational demands — and across audiences from the shop floor to senior leadership
  • Pace — experience in an engineering or other fast‑paced business environment, comfortable with shifting priorities and rapid turnaround
