Join our client, a progressive independent financial advice business operating across the UK. They are dedicated to helping both Corporate and Personal clients navigate complex markets with tailored financial advice. Specialising in savings, investments, and retirement planning, they also partner with Building Societies to deliver independent financial advice to their customers. For their corporate clients, they offer solutions in group risk, protection, and employee benefits.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Process and manage all new business applications and associated paperwork, ensuring timely submission to Providers either electronically or via hard copy as appropriate.
- Conduct electronic identity data verification of clients where necessary.
- Proactively chase new business applications and other client requests/transactions through to completion.
- Assist advisers with the management of clients' cash holdings on Provider Platforms and execute trades as per advisers' instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and plan records on Intelligent Office.
- Ensure all relevant documentation and correspondence is correctly uploaded and named on Intelligent Office in line with company procedures.
- Manage and complete tasks on Intelligent Office as per company guidelines.
- Assist in the provision of quotations, key features, applications, and other relevant paperwork for advisers' client meetings.
- Handle incoming telephone calls and documentation, redirecting or dealing with them as appropriate.
- Ensure all documentation is provided to clients promptly and respond swiftly to queries from clients, providers, and advisers.
- Process and follow up on policy claims including those related to death or other events, ensuring completion.
- Undertake additional ad-hoc duties as they arise and promote professional behaviour in line with the company's core values and policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of the financial planning market, including different providers' products and services.
- Familiarity with FCA Rules, Guidance Notes, and Commitments relevant to the role.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt language, style, and method depending on the audience.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise daily tasks and manage ad-hoc duties efficiently.
- Proven customer service skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in using technology relevant to the role.
