ACCEL Schools is seeking a Part-Time Intervention Specialist at North Bend STEM Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio, to support students with IEP goals and promote inclusive learning environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, conducting assessments, writing IEP goals, implementing behavior plans, and communicating with families. Ideal candidates have a current state license, strong English communication, and experience in inclusion or co-teaching models.

Qualifications

• Current state license
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model
• Growth-focused coaching with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
• High quality written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word and Outlook)
• Outstanding organization and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Relentlessly work to meet all goals related to student achievement and culture.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Serve as advisor for a designated set of students.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned
