Job summary

Next Link in Bristol is seeking a Female* Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) for a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2028, full-time (37.5 hours per week).

You will respond to domestic abuse crises, provide advocacy and signposting, manage a caseload with risk assessments, and work on evenings and Saturdays on a rota basis.

The role offers a competitive salary (£29,542–£31,015) and benefits package including generous leave and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk assessment and managing a caseload.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and provide advocacy.
• Full driving licence and access to transport.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency/crisis situations for women and children.
• Provide support, advocacy, signposting and direct intervention.
• Offer short-term support (up to 4 weeks) and advise on remedies.
• Empower survivors to increase options, safety and recovery.
• Some evenings/Saturdays rota and on-call duty.
