Zusammenfassung

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) on a 6-month contract with Sefton Council in Bootle, Merseyside. The role delivers crisis intervention, risk assessments and safety planning within a multi-agency framework including MARAC and safeguarding partnerships.

Hybrid/Agile working with a minimum of 2 office days per week; enhanced DBS with Children's & Adults' Barred Lists required, plus a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified IDVA or recognised domestic abuse qualification.
• Proven experience in the domestic abuse sector.
• Experience in risk assessments and safety planning.
• Experience managing a complex caseload.
• Experience advocating for vulnerable individuals.
• Experience in multi-agency working.
• Knowledge of domestic abuse legislation, safeguarding and MARAC.
• Excellent communication and report writing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.

Aufgaben

• Offer proactive, short to medium-term support to high-risk victims.
• Conduct risk and needs assessments using established tools.
• Create and implement safety and support plans.
• Assist victims in understanding options and decisions.
• Advocate for victims to secure necessary services and support.
• Empower victims to regain control and enhance their safety outcomes.
• Identify and refer appropriate cases to MARAC.
• Prepare and present case information for MARAC meetings.
• Attend multi-agency meetings and execute agreed-upon actions.
• Collaborate with police, health services, housing providers, children's services, adult safeguarding teams, and voluntary sector organizations.
• Adhere to safeguarding procedures for children and vulnerable adults.
• Engage in safeguarding meetings and apply relevant safeguarding legislation.
• Guide victims through criminal justice processes.
• Manage and prioritize a complex caseload; maintain records; ensure GDPR compliance.
• Support delivery of domestic abuse awareness sessions and training.
