Job description

The Bank has offices in Gibraltar, Malta, and London, serving innovative clients through a portfolio of e-money products and payment services over the past 16 years. The Bank is expanding its banking product range and will soon offer digital corporate banking services in Gibraltar. The Role Outline

Due to our ongoing success, we are expanding our sales team and seeking a Business Development Manager to build new business relationships. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Head of Sales. You will be highly motivated, determined to reach sales targets, and skilled in identifying and procuring new business. Excellent networking and negotiating skills are essential, with the ability to engage comfortably with all levels of senior management, from Company Directors to Technical Specialists. Flexibility to travel across the UK and Europe to meet new prospects is required. A clear understanding of the payments sector and a forward-planning mindset are important.

The responsibilities include:

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, respond to direct sales inquiries, and drive revenue growth by exceeding targets.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  3. Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients and develop commercial proposals.
  4. Conduct market research to identify trends and expansion opportunities.
  5. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
  6. Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities and results.
  7. Maintain accurate records using the CRM platform.
  8. Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions for clients.
  9. Coordinate projects with internal and external departments and implementation teams.

Qualifications and skills include:

  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Proven success in face-to-face direct sales, B2B, and business development.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of prepaid or financial services is advantageous.
  • Confidence in dealing at the board level.
  • Knowledge of additional European languages is a plus.

The successful candidate will be required to pass background checks in accordance with the Bank’s policies.
