Job summary

Kingfisher is seeking a Platform Owner to lead Identity Governance & Administration services. You will shape the technical roadmap, guide engineering delivery and oversee the modernisation of Microsoft Identity Manager, including provisioning, metaverse design and identity integrations.

You will provide technical leadership across lifecycle management, RBAC, and entitlement management, while driving automation and platform resilience.

Qualifications

• Experience with Identity Governance platforms and identity lifecycle management.
• Technical knowledge of Microsoft Identity Manager, including synchronization services and workflows.
• Proven ability to shape roadmaps and lead platform improvement, migration or replacement work.

As Platform Owner, you'll provide technical leadership and ownership of Kingfisher's Identity Governance & Administration capability, taking accountability for contributing to the strategy and roadmap and leading the operation and delivery of Identity Governance & Administration services. You'll guide the development and modernisation of Microsoft Identity Manager and support the transition to Kingfisher's future Identity Governance platform.

This role could based out of our Kingfisher Head Office in Paddington or our B&Q Head Office just outside Southampton, with an expectation of 12 days a month in the office and travel between sites as required.

What's the job?

• Shape the technical roadmap for Identity Governance & Administration services, working closely with Identity Design and Architecture.
• Lead engineering delivery for the Identity Governance platform, including complex technical escalations and the implementation of agreed architectural direction.
• Guide the continued development and operational health of Microsoft Identity Manager, including synchronisation services, workflows, rules extensions, provisioning and identity integrations.
• Support the future replacement of Microsoft Identity Manager by turning architectural direction and business requirements into practical migration plans and engineering deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership across identity lifecycle management, Joiners, Movers and Leavers, access governance, access reviews, role-based access control and entitlement management.
• Improve the platform through automation, simplification, standardisation and technical debt reduction, while maintaining its security, resilience, performance, availability and operational health.
• Prioritise engineering work and support colleagues, suppliers and managed service partners, balancing operational demand, technical risk, roadmap delivery and platform lifecycle needs.

What you'll bring

• Hands-on experience of Identity Governance & Administration platforms and services, including identity lifecycle management, provisioning, deprovisioning, access governance, role-based access control and entitlement management.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Identity Manager, including synchronisation services, management agents, metaverse design, attribute flows, workflows, rules extensions and identity integrations.
• Experience shaping technical roadmaps and leading platform improvement, modernisation, migration or replacement work.
• Technical knowledge of PowerShell, APIs, workflows, connectors, automation and Microsoft Identity Manager-related development.
• Experience providing technical leadership across engineers, suppliers and managed service partners, supported by clear communication, thoughtful prioritisation and effective stakeholder management.
