We have an exciting new opportunity for an Identity & Access Management Senior Architect to join the A&O Shearman London office.

About the team

Led by our new CISO, the in-house Information Security team is a vital part of our technology services, with capabilities across digital security and cyber defense, aligned with frameworks like NIST, ISO27001, and SOC2.

You'll also have the chance to collaborate with our cybersecurity lawyers, gaining insights from their extensive experience advising on incidents, which enhances our cyber risk management and incident response strategies.

What you will do

The Senior Architect will be part of the Digital Trust team, focusing on maintaining and evolving the firm's IAM security. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and improving IAM architecture, supporting transformation into a modern, automated, and customer-oriented function, with expertise in technologies like Microsoft Entra ID, CyberArk, and machine identity management.

Key duties involve:

• Designing and improving IAM architecture for a secure perimeter
• Reviewing requirements and producing architectural artifacts
• Configuring IAM technologies such as Active Directory, Entra ID, CyberArk
• Transitioning IAM solutions into operational support

Additional responsibilities include risk management, security testing, vendor collaboration, and leadership within the team, ensuring IAM security controls meet standards like NIST and CIS.

What you will have

• Extensive experience with Microsoft identity products, especially Active Directory and Entra ID
• Background in architecture or information security, focused on IAM
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Security Engineer)
• Knowledge of security standards such as ISO27001, MS CAF
• Strong communication and leadership skills
