IdAM Application Developer Location: Cheltenham (On-Site) Salary: £550 - £650 Contract Type: Contract The Opportunity We are looking for a talented IdAM Application Developer to join our growing team and support the development, deployment, and operation of critical Identity and Access Management (IdAM) and data processing solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across a modern technology stack, building and supporting applications, automation, and cloud-native platforms that enable secure data movement and identity services across multiple environments.
You'll work alongside developers, engineers, architects, and platform specialists, contributing to both business-as-usual services and innovative technology initiatives.
The role offers exposure to Kubernetes, OpenShift, Apache NiFi, Identity Platforms, DevOps tooling, and open-source technologies.
Key Responsibilities As an IdAM Application Developer, you will: Design, develop, test, and deploy data processing solutions to meet customer and business requirements.
Build and maintain applications and integrations that support Identity and Access Management services.
Filter, validate, and compliance-check data movement between customers, services, and domains.
Deploy, maintain, and enhance in-house Kubernetes clusters supporting application delivery across multiple environments.
Develop and maintain Ansible automation roles, enabling users to independently deploy and manage Apache NiFi clusters.
Provide technical guidance, support, and training on Apache NiFi and related technologies.
Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient services.
Contribute to innovation initiatives by developing software, automation, and platform improvements.
Support DevOps and platform engineering activities, including infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging.
Contribute bug fixes, enhancements, and features to open-source technologies used within the organisation.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
Essential Skills & Experience We are looking for candidates with experience in: Python development.
Linux administration experience, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or CentOS. Application development and deployment in enterprise environments.
Troubleshooting and supporting applications in production.
Working collaboratively within Agile or DevOps teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
