University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust invites a Consultant in Adult Cardiothoracic and General Intensive Care Medicine with SARF/ECMO specialization to join the expanding Critical Care team at the Glenfield site. The role focuses on developing SARF and adult ECMO services, teaching, research, and clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• MB BS or equivalent and Full GMC Registration.
• FFICM or equivalent, with CESR/CCT eligibility.
• ECMO/subspecialist training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daytime consultant cover for ECMO/SARF patients.
• Develop and expand SARF and Adult ECMO programmes.
• Teach TOE, echocardiography, and FICM training.
• Lead multidisciplinary governance, audit and research activities.
