Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed Revit models, drawings, and related documents for security and life safety systems.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency of Revit models and drawings.
- Assist in developing Revit standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot issues with Revit models.
- Provide technical support to team members.
- Make basic updates to family objects.
- Produce 2D sheets, work with views, sheets, and title blocks.
- Utilize BIM360, Navisworks, Excel, DiRoots.
- Understand scheduling and shared parameters.
- Coordinate federated models and perform clash detection.
- Audit and coordinate design models for compliance with BIM execution plans.
- Update drawing annotations, including as-built references, revisions, and statuses.
- Validate redlines and present to clients.
- Use Bluebeam and markups to aid modeling.
- Apply knowledge of point cloud scans and the as-built process.
- Work within project timescales and deadlines.
- Follow specific client protocols.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Revit and other BIM software is essential.
- Previous experience in security or construction industry roles.
- Strong understanding of electronic security systems and life safety designs.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
