Locations: Field based - M62 Corridor

Qualification: Level 3, Information Communications Technician

Our field teams are vital in delivering maintenance, installation, cabling, and civils works, helping keep critical infrastructure connected and protected.

What you’ll do:

• Work in various environments including offices, outdoors, BT exchanges, data centres, and emergency locations.
• Learn to install, maintain, and test site equipment according to contract requirements.
• Work on emergency service vehicles installing telecommunications equipment.
• Understand Emergency Services Radio Communications and interpret VHF/RF/Microwave systems.
• Work with Optical Fibre, including cable prep and OTDR testing.
• Learn about IP routers and networks.
• Understand project requirements and how to meet customer needs.
• Complete risk assessments and adhere to health and safety standards.

Who you are & what to prepare for:

• Willing to work at heights, outdoors, and travel across the UK.
• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Must have the right attitude, commitment, and desire to learn.
• Provided with a vehicle, mobile phone, laptop, and PPE.
• Own initiative and personal development are important.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Logical thinker, problem solver, physically capable, normal colour vision.

The Requirements:

• Minimum 5 GCSEs Grade 4 or higher, including Maths, English, and Science or IT.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Over 18 by September 2025.
• Able to pass security clearance and drug testing.

Programme Specifics:

• Duration: 24 months.
• Starting salary: £17,500, increasing during the programme.
• Qualification: Level 3 Information Communications Technician.
• Supported by training provider Bragd.
• Primarily field-based with office and college visits.
• Potential for full-time employment post-completion.
