ICT Technician

Salary - £24,790.00 Annually (FTE)

The Role

An East Riding of Yorkshire School seeks to appoint an ICT Technician from September 2025. You will be responsible for delivering first-line IT support throughout the school, including the setup and installation of hardware and software for users. The role demands strong technical knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain focused and precise when working under pressure. A good standard of general education, solid IT skills, and a positive, team-focused attitude are essential. Previous experience in an IT support position is advantageous.

The School

A secondary school based on the west side of the East Riding of Yorkshire with excellent transport links via M62 and train. The school forms part of a large multi-academy trust that benefits greatly from collaborative practice and leadership.

Requirements

The desired ICT Technician will have:

  • GCSE grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, in Maths and English
  • Excellent knowledge of ICT Hardware and Software
  • Previous experience as an ICT Technician is desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work closely with colleagues

This successful candidate may be offered this role on a 'temp to perm' basis, meaning working on supply via Vision For Education for a term before transitioning to a contract with the academy.
