Salary: £29,346 - £30,630 per annum (Grade 4, SCP 7-10 - Outer London)
Contract Type: Support Staff (Permanent) | Full-Time
Hours: 36 hours per week (08:30-16:30), 52.14 weeks per year

Our client, a high-performing mixed all-through school with academy status based in Ilford, is seeking to appoint an ambitious, highly effective and experienced ICT Technician to support the smooth operation of ICT systems across the school. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team within a successful, heavily over-subscribed school with a strong ethos of achievement and innovation.
The ICT Technician will support the school's ICT infrastructure and services, ensuring that staff and students have access to reliable and efficient technology. From troubleshooting technical issues to maintaining networks and hardware, you will be a key member of the school's support team in a vibrant, technology-rich environment.
Provide first-line technical support to staff and students
Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems
Install and configure IT equipment and software
Support the administration of user accounts and ICT security
Liaise with external providers and escalate issues when necessary
Assist in the development and implementation of ICT projects across the school
Experience in an ICT support or technician role, preferably within an educational environment
Strong understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and networking fundamentals
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, service-focused attitude
Able to prioritise workloads and respond calmly under pressure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to ongoing professional development and safeguarding
