Job description

A vacancy has arisen within the Managed Service Unit of Digital and Customer Services for an ICT Technician.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?


You will install, support, maintain, repair and manage ICT hardware, software and peripheral equipment and provide technical support to customers and ICT staff and deliver ICT support services to our customers, including installations and commissioning of ICT systems.

As part of the role of Technician you will be required to work on site based in a school/schools or from the ICT base to deliver a high quality, proactive service providing support within the school’s estate. You will need to work as part of a team and motivated to work alone as occasions demand.

Your work will encompass providing technical support across the range of ICT systems and equipment including AVA, server/virtual networks, software etc. The ability to communicate effectively to both a technical and none technical audience is essential.

WHAT WILL I NEED?


You will need NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Computing or related discipline and/or relevant experience.
