Job summary

Starbank Primary, part of Star Academies in Birmingham, is seeking an enthusiastic ICT/Business Support Technician to help deliver a safe, productive learning environment for pupils.

You will troubleshoot software and hardware, manage the school ICT network, procure, install and manage educational and office software and hardware, and work closely with pupils, teachers and the Star community. This role requires strong organisational skills and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*- C.
  • Experience of trouble‑shooting software and hardware issues in a timely manner.
  • Experience of managing an ICT network effectively.
  • The ability to procure, install and manage educational and office software.
  • The ability to procure, install and manage educational and office hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional business support service to pupils, teachers and wider stakeholders.
  • Support an outstanding learning environment through efficient administrative tasks.
  • Ensure reliable ICT services across Starbank sites.

About Starbank

Starbank school in Birmingham is a large all through school for pupils aged 3 to 16 years old. We have over 2,000 pupils and are based across three sites in close proximity to each other. We joined Star Academies in 2020 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism

We’re looking for a talented individual to provide an exceptional business support service to our pupils, teachers and wider stakeholders. As a key member of our school’s business support team, your expertise will help to deliver an outstanding learning environment for our young people.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and specialist technical skills. You will have extensive experience of delivering outstanding customer service and possess the ability to develop relationships across our school and the Star community.

You will have:

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*- C.
  • Experience of trouble‑shooting software and hardware issues in a timely manner.
  • Experience of managing an ICT network effectively.
  • The ability to procure, install and manage educational and office software.
