ICT Teacher - Northampton
Location: Northampton
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time - Permanent or Long-Term
Salary: MPS/UPS - Competitive, dependent on experience

Are you a dynamic and passionate ICT teacher ready to empower the next generation with essential digital skills?
Would you like to work in a Northampton school where ICT plays a vital role in preparing students for the digital future?

We are partnering with several forward-thinking secondary schools across Northampton looking to appoint enthusiastic ICT Teachers starting September 2025. These full-time positions include permanent and long-term contracts, suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach KS5 in some schools

  • Teach core ICT topics including computer systems, networks, digital media, and software applications

  • Encourage problem-solving, creativity, and practical use of technology to support learning across the curriculum

  • Integrate a variety of digital tools and platforms to enhance student engagement and outcomes

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback

  • Collaborate within the department to design and develop a relevant, up-to-date ICT curriculum

  • Lead or support extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, digital literacy workshops, or tech challenges



Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Strong knowledge of the ICT curriculum and a genuine enthusiasm for digital education

  • Ability to deliver inclusive, differentiated lessons tailored to diverse learners

  • Confident classroom manager with excellent behaviour management skills

  • Committed to equipping students with practical digital skills for further education and employment

  • A proactive team player who enjoys contributing to whole-school initiatives

  • Open to applications from ECTs and experienced ICT teachers alike
