Vacancy: ICT Teacher
Location: Chester
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated ICT Teacher to join our forward-thinking and highly supportive school from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) passionate about delivering high-quality ICT education.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Computer Science at Key Stage 5 for an experienced teacher. The role will involve developing and delivering a rich and engaging curriculum that equips students with the digital skills they need for success in the modern world.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver innovative and effective ICT lessons that inspire and engage students

Teach both theoretical and practical ICT skills across a range of topics, including software applications, digital literacy, and basic programming

Contribute to the development and improvement of the ICT curriculum

Assess, monitor, and report on student progress

Maintain high expectations for student behavior, engagement, and achievement

Support extracurricular activities, including ICT clubs or tech-related events where appropriate

Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

A degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for ICT and technology

Experience of teaching ICT and/or Computer Science at secondary school level

A commitment to inclusive teaching and learning
