A leading IT services provider in Hatfield is looking for digital support technician apprentices to join their team. In this role, you will diagnose and repair various IT equipment while studying towards an Information Communications Technician Support qualification. Ideal candidates should have a strong interest in IT and at least two GCSEs including English and Maths. Logistics & Technical Services (LTS) and Field & Lifecycle Services (FLS) provide world-class Technical Engineering and Logistics Services to our customers, delivering efficiency and high quality.
Both workshops support the Swap and Configuration areas of the business, offering complex build and repair services for major manufacturers and customers. As a digital support technician apprentice, you will work with a team of approximately 20-30 engineers supporting external customers, including government departments, financial institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and others across the UK and Europe. We also work with major manufacturers like Lenovo, Dell, HP, and Cisco.
Working alongside our team of skilled engineers will help you develop your skills and knowledge, with potential to move into other areas of the business.
What you’ll do
You will study towards an Information Communications Technician Support - Level 3. During your apprenticeship, you will spend 80% of your time working and 20% studying towards your qualification.
We are looking for multiple individuals to join our SWAP team, supporting our customer’s IT equipment and services within the Hatfield workshops.
You will also be supporting in the following:
Preparing quotations for customers, using internal IT systems for stock control, ordering parts, and updating customer tickets.
The opportunity to work in different areas of the LTS & FLS business.
What you’ll need
A strong interest in IT, with at least two GCSEs graded 4-9 (C-A*) including English and Maths.
A driven attitude with a strong work ethic.
Willingness to learn, with great attention to detail.
Enthusiasm, good communication skills, and engagement.
Proactivity and good time management skills.
Note: Offers are conditional upon passing additional eligibility checks with our training provider.
You will not be eligible if you already hold or are working towards a qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject, such as A Level, BTEC, or Degrees in technical subjects.
