East Suffolk Council is seeking an ICT Software Developer to enhance their dedicated team supporting the Suffolk Coastal Port Health Authority. The role:
Suffolk Coastal Port Health Authority (SCPHA) has a dedicated ICT team providing all ICT services and support to SCPHA staff and operations based in the Port of Felixstowe as well as supporting external users of SCPHA's applications throughout the UK. We are seeking an ICT Software Developer to join us.
This post provides the opportunity for you to start at any point within the grading as your skills, experience and qualifications allow. However, any transition between levels once appointed will be based upon both your attaining the next level of competencies and the current business need.
What you will need:
The ability to work with business owners, business analysts and project managers to understand sometimes complex business needs and interpret these into software designs and solutions that are effective, fit for purpose and meet the user's expectations according to industry standards and processes.
You will be a positive contributor to the IT services team by having a passion for ICT with an inquisitive nature alongside a proactive and planned approach to ensure the ICT infrastructure enables SCPHA and its customers to work to optimum effect.
Key skills and attributes:
As a member of a wider team, the post holder will be required to provide support and assistance to other members of the service desk and the wider ICT team.
