Job summary

Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for an IT Professional to gain experience within the public sector. You will be the main point of contact for all IT related issues, providing training and specialist technical support to staff and service users.

Based in Dundonald, this is a full-time, temporary position (initially for 3 months). This is a specialist public sector client and they are responsible for urgent public services. The role is hybrid and there are flexible working arrangements available.

The role

You will be responsible for service and system improvements, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. You will provide training to staff and service users, ensuring they know how to use the IT systems and providing support for any technical issues. You will ensure that all systems remain up to date and meet the requirements of departments and service users.

You will extract, manage and extract complex data relating to service users and you will help the department manage and lead implementation and the wider development of IT projects.

You will have

• An IT Degree with 2 years relevant experience, Or HND or equivalent with years relevant experience OR 6 years relevant experience
• Experience of data processing, statistical analysis software with reporting
• Experience working with networks, peripherals and hardware
• Access to car and a valid driving licence
• Experience of Project Management
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office- particularly Excel and Access
