Role Overview

We’re looking for a motivated and professional ICT Field Service Engineer to join our growing team at Sureserve. In this role, you’ll deliver hands-on, on-site support for IT systems, based from either Elland or Brighouse, Yorkshire, with travel supporting clients across a range of site locations. You’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT hardware, software, and network infrastructure. This is a dynamic, field-based role suited to someone who thrives on problem-solving, working independently, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, software, and networking equipment.
  2. Diagnose and resolve issues involving computers, servers, networks, and peripherals.
  3. Provide on-site and remote support to end users in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Conduct routine updates, data backups, and system security checks.
  5. Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and technical resolutions.
  7. Carry out preventative maintenance to reduce system downtime.
  8. Liaise with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve complex issues.
  9. Ensure adherence to IT policies, security protocols, and industry best practices.

Skills & Experience Required

  1. Proven experience in an ICT support or field service role.
  2. Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, VPNs).
  3. Experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and endpoint protection platforms (EPP).
  4. Proficient in managing Active Directory, BitLocker, device drivers, and firmware updates.
  5. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  6. A valid UK driver’s license and the flexibility to travel to client sites.
