ICT Core Systems Service Manager

Location: Gloucestershire

Salary: £45,000-£55,000

Role Description

Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and a decision maker for systems and application change, leading User Group meetings. This pivotal role will ensure a unified method for changing functionality across three integrated systems.

Represent the organisation at national, regional, and local meetings to facilitate the development of RMS.

Collaborate with Minerva delivery teams to align with the Minerva vision, maximising RMS to transform organisational collaboration, information sharing, and benefits realization.

Engage with specialist system owners to evolve product development and strengthen relationships.

Coordinate system developments, ensuring they remain updated and fully support operational modes, including holistic management across related systems to maintain interface parity.

Optimize system performance, manage changes effectively, oversee development requirements, and ensure integration between local and national interfaces, especially within the South West Collaboration.

Prioritize development opportunities, working with stakeholders to maximise benefits.

Support the service team in troubleshooting issues, improving functionality, and meeting local objectives.

Provide expert advice to stakeholders, ensuring responses comply with policies and legislation, aiming for optimal outcomes.

Monitor system performance, devise strategies to identify issues, and improve team and individual performance to meet professional standards and objectives.

Identify opportunities for innovation and new ways of working, applying critical thinking to develop evidence-based solutions.

Requirements
  • Desirable: working knowledge of RMS (Niche), Pronto, and CAD systems
  • Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Stakeholder and customer engagement experience
  • Ability to manage complex workloads and deliver performance
  • Awareness of GDPR, Data Protection, and Cybersecurity
  • Project management knowledge (e.g., Agile, Prince2)
