A leading NHS Trust in England is seeking a Band 6 Senior Engineer-Hardware to manage their ICT Infrastructure. You will supervise the server, storage, and backup infrastructure while ensuring compliance with ICT standards. Candidates should have strong knowledge in server management and be able to perform manual hardware handling. This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the ICT Infrastructure Hardware Team in the role of Band 6 Senior Engineer-Hardware. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Trust's server, storage and backup infrastructure. Supporting the End User experience team and assisting the Advanced Technical Engineers and Infrastructure Hardware Team Leader when required, to ensure the smooth operation of the Trust's SharePoint, Server, Storage, and backup infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be required to travel to a variety of King's sites in this cross-site role and take part (if required) in the out of hours ICT Server team on-call team to cover service affecting issues outside the standard 8-6 working hours and 24/7 at weekends. The job has a degree of manual handling as the successful candidate will be required to rack and stack server and storage hardware and decommission servers and un-rack them for disposal.
