Job summary

Emtec Group seeks an ICP Project Manager to lead electrical infrastructure projects from planning through completion, based at our Uddingston head office and supporting UK initiatives.

You will coordinate clients, contractors and DNOs/IDNOs, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery across EHV, HV and LV scopes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering electrical infrastructure projects (connections or utilities).
• Strong knowledge of EHV, HV and LV systems and safety standards.
• Understanding of DNO/IDNO requirements and authorisations.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of electricity connection and private network projects from start to finish.
• Manage EHV, HV and LV installation works across UK projects.
• Monitor programmes, progress, risks and milestones.
• Coordinate contractors and provide technical and safety information.
• Manage interfaces with host DNOs and IDNOs.
• Carry out site audits and ensure standards compliance.
• Coordinate street works and related requirements.
• Keep customers and stakeholders updated during delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering, commercial and operations teams.
• Maintain health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Job description

Location: Uddingston

Emtec Utility Services is continuing to grow across the UK, delivering new electricity connections and electrical infrastructure projects across the utilities and energy sectors.

As part of that growth, we’re looking for an experienced ICP Project Manager to join the team, of a varied portfolio of EHV, HV and LV projects from initial planning through to completion based from our Uddingston head office and supporting projects across the UK.

The Role

This is a hands-on project management role where you’ll be right at the centre of delivery. You’ll work closely with customers, contractors DNO’s, IDNO’s and our internal teams to keep projects moving, solve issues as they arise and make sure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the right technical standard.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Taking ownership of electricity connection and private network projects from start to finish.
• Managing EHV, HV and LV installation works across projects throughout the UK.
• Keeping a close eye on programmes, progress, risks and key milestones.
• Coordinating contractors and making sure they have the right technical and safety information.
• Managing the relationship and interface with host DNOs and IDNOs.
• Carrying out site audits and making sure works meet the required standards.
• Coordinating street works activity and associated requirements.
• Keeping customers and key stakeholders updated throughout delivery.
• Working closely with internal engineering, commercial and operational teams.
• Making sure health & safety, quality and environmental standards remain front and centre.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who knows electrical infrastructure delivery and is comfortable taking responsibility for projects and making things happen.

• Experience managing electrical infrastructure, connections or utilities projects.
• Strong knowledge of EHV, HV and LV systems.
• A good understanding of Distribution Safety Rules and DNO/IDNO requirements.
• Relevant HV and LV authorisations.
• Competent Person status under the NERS Passport Scheme.
• An electrical engineering qualification such as a Degree, HNC, NVQ Level 5 or equivalent.
• Strong communication and contractor management skills.
• A practical, organised and safety-focused approach.
