ICM In-Business Quality Assurance Financial Institutions Credit Risk - Underwriting - SVP

Individuals in Quality Assurance are responsible for assessing outcomes from activities and processes against conformance with applicable requirements to strengthen risk management quality. This includes quality testing for business function quality control and transformation lead quality control post activity/process completion. Responsibilities include developing and executing Monitoring and Testing for controls, such as control design assessment, operational effectiveness design, and execution of testing tools to evaluate key controls addressing risks.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct specialised Quality Assurance Reviews focusing on Counterparty Credit Risk / Financial Institutions Underwriting.
• Ensure the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the Control Framework implementation, including Risk Control Policies, Standards, and Issue Management.
• Assess activities and processes according to Policies, Standards, and Procedures to enhance credit risk management quality.
• Perform routine testing of internal activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify risks or non-compliance areas.
• Review stakeholder/client feedback and respond promptly to quality assurance issues.
• Develop and execute Monitoring and Testing for controls, including design assessments and operational effectiveness evaluations.
• Report regularly on quality control outcomes and control effectiveness to management and stakeholders.
• Assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding firm reputation, and maintaining high standards of conduct.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of risk management and control frameworks related to Counterparty Credit Risk and Underwriting, with experience in financial institutions, funds, or hedge funds.
• Control-related function / quality assurance experience in banking, credit risk management, internal audit, or quality assurance review at a large or investment bank.
• Ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls.
• Deep knowledge of Wholesale Credit Processes and organizational awareness.
• Proficient in regulatory guidance related to quality assurance and testing lifecycle.
• Ability to innovate and improve processes proactively to mitigate risks.
• Leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at the executive level.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
