What you’ll be responsible for

Carrying out planned maintenance of ICA plant, making decisions on tasks and frequencies to balance regular checks and breakdowns. Responsibilities include:

  1. Working with wastewater teams to support and provide expertise on wastewater treatment works.
  2. Ensuring adherence to the maintenance schedule.
  3. Performing planned maintenance and decision-making on task frequency.
  4. Responding to breakdowns, assessing issues, ordering spares, and repairing.
  5. Recommending design modifications for efficiency.
  6. Programming PLCs, telemetry, and SCADA systems for plant control and monitoring.
  7. Reviewing small capital schemes for proper operation.
  8. Maintaining IMS procedures to ISO standards, calibrating equipment, and record-keeping for audits.
  9. Maintaining communication links to outstations.
  10. Implementing and maintaining the Planned Maintenance System.
  11. Participating in design, installation, and commissioning of capital schemes.
  12. Liaising with partners to ensure effective project implementation.
  13. Designing, installing, and maintaining instrumentation and communication links.
  14. Undertaking other duties as required.
Who you’ll work with

Internal: Wastewater team, audit team, scientific team, asset strategy/capital delivery teams, operational control centre.

External: Environment Agency, Health and Safety, Emergency Planning, Capital Partners.

About you

Qualifications:

  • HNC or equivalent in Industrial Measurement and Control.
  • Clean Driving Licence.

Experience:

  • Time-served apprenticeship in electronics, instrumentation, or electrical roles, or fully qualified with demonstrable experience.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Customer-focused attitude.
  • Team player with ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships across the business.
