What you’ll be responsible for

Carrying out planned maintenance of ICA plant, and making decisions on tasks and frequencies to balance regular checks and breakdowns.

This Will Include
  • Working with wastewater teams to support and maintain treatment works and assets.
  • Ensuring compliance with maintenance schedules.
  • Responding to breakdowns, assessing issues, and repairing as needed.
  • Recommending design changes for efficiency.
  • Programming PLCs, telemetry, and SCADA systems for plant control and monitoring.
  • Reviewing ICA solutions for small capital schemes.
  • Maintaining IMS procedures to ISO standards, calibrating equipment, and keeping records.
  • Maintaining communication links to wastewater outstations.
  • Implementing and maintaining the Planned Maintenance System.
  • Participating in design, installation, and commissioning of capital schemes.
  • Liaising with partners for scheme implementation.
  • Designing and maintaining instrumentation and communication links.
  • Undertaking other duties as required.
Who you’ll work with

Internal: Wastewater team, internal audit, scientific team, asset strategy/capital delivery teams, operational control centre.

External: Environment Agency, Health and Safety, Emergency Planning, Capital Partners.

Qualifications
  • HNC or equivalent in Industrial Measurement and Control.
  • Clean Driving Licence.
Experience
  • Time-served apprenticeship or full qualification in electronics, instrumentation, or electrical.

  • Customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Team player with ownership and accountability.
