Overview
Our clients in the South are looking for an experienced ICA Technician to maintain and support instrumentation, control, and automation systems across water treatment and distribution sites. You'll carry out planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and commissioning of equipment including SCADA, PLCs, telemetry, and instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on ICA assets (instruments, PLCs, telemetry, SCADA)
Respond to equipment faults, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs and calibrations
Support installation and commissioning of new systems and upgrades
Perform adjustments to SCADA and PLC logic where required
Ensure accurate record-keeping for audits and compliance
Work safely and in line with confined space and hazardous area procedures
Contribute to system improvements and process efficiency
Collaborate with other engineers, operators, and control room teams
Participate in standby rota and attend urgent call-outs when required
What You'll Need
Recognised qualification in electrical, control, or instrumentation engineering (e.g. HNC/NVQ 3)
Practical experience with SCADA/PLC systems and ICA fault-finding
Full UK driving licence
Willing to work standby and respond to call-outs
