Keeping pumps available and running is the primary goal to support essential services for customers, communities and the environment.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, collaborative, disciplined, eager to learn, and has a can-do attitude. The role can be demanding but rewarding. You will receive a planned workload and respond to emergency alarms. You may work as part of a team or alone, so high health and safety standards are essential. Your van and tools are supplied and maintained to a high standard.

Base Location: Camberley - GU15 3YL. Working Pattern: 38 hours Monday–Friday 07:30–15:36 plus standby and overtime opportunities (potential earnings £8,000–£10,000). All PPE, tools, van and fuel card are provided.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned maintenance (PPM), including some mandatory tickets and reactive maintenance on defective equipment.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team alongside systems, mechanical and electrical technicians.
  • Install, modify and commission new plant equipment to relevant standards; diagnose and repair faults; identify follow-up work and deliver cost-effective improvements.
  • Investigate plant failures and implement repairs quickly and efficiently.
  • Provide specialist technical advice with up-to-date knowledge.
What you should bring to the role
  • Strong practical understanding of operational plant and control systems; familiarity with Wonderware (desirable) and ClearSCADA; relay logic and PLCs (Rockwell & Allen-Bradley); ability to read and fault-find from circuit diagrams; experience with inverter drives.
  • Experience with instrumentation such as flow meters, pressure sensors, ultrasonics, and telemetry; calibration and maintenance of front-line instrumentation.
  • Qualification: ideally HNC level or City and Guilds Part 2 or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical subject.
  • Ability to prioritise and self-motivate; valid driving licence and willingness to operate across several sites.
What we’re looking for
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and eager to learn; capable of taking ownership and responding quickly to faults; curious to understand problems and identify effective first-time solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong teamwork orientation; proactive about site improvements and safety best practices.
  • Willingness to be trained in safety procedures and maintain awareness of health and safety standards.
What’s in it for you?
  • Competitive salary up to £47,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
  • Standby rota payments and overtime opportunities; potential earnings increase up to £8,000–£10,000 per annum after essential company training.
  • 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with length of service (plus bank holidays).
  • Contributory pension (defined contribution) – up to 12%; employee contributions apply.
  • Personal medical assessments – annually.
  • Wider benefits scheme, including a benefits hub with offers to support well-being and savings.
